Only Sand n Water

We live near Port at the west coast. But in this week, our boy just got his 1st beach walk at Redang Island. It was so funny to watch him walking barefoot
at the beach (to the sea). At half way,
he screamed for help.. begged us to carry him because he felt his feet were getting dirty. My hubby convinced him to walk to the sea for "cleaning". Without choice, he walked slowly to the sea with us. Followed by the day, he could ran to the beach and the sea fearlessly.
The main purpose of this trip was to make our boy enjoy the beauty of nature. The sand, the sea, the sky, the mountain and even the fishes under the seawater. He is so happy and can't wait to jump into the water. He is less fear now. Therefore we must keep our eyes closely on him.

I Can Fly...

A week before our trip, I told my boy that we're going to take aeroplane and to the Redang beach. He was so excited then replied "I take aeroplane. I can fly up... up... up... to the Moon!". Haha.. to the Moon? He thought the plane could fetch him there.
This time will be my boy's 2nd flying journey. But I am more worried about how to keep him seated during the flight. Luckily it just takes one hour. So I pack his small bag with a toy train (Tips: Get the most recent one he plays with) and his small pillow and a book for company. Besides, he's responsible to look after his ladybug's trolley.

All packed and let's fly!!!

We Went to A Mini Bird Park

Yesterday we brought our boy to Ikano Power Center to visit the Bird Park II. It's held at the main concourse area. We can see some small and big closure (cage) with birds residing in.

After we had a quick brunch @ Kluang station cafe, we headed to the indoor Bird Park. My hubby asked "why the bird park is so small?" when we entered the biggest walk-in "cage" to get an up close distance with some birds like Malay-eagle, Ibis,Peacock, Flamingo, cockatoo, Pigeons, wild ducks and small chicks. I answered him "Hey man, it's free entrance!". We were not able to stop for photo-taking as the crowds kept flocking into the "cage".

Oh no, I've told my boy that we're going to see owl at the Bird Park too.. but I can't spot any in the biggest closure. So we walked out
with a little disappointment. We continued with few more small cages located at the other corner and came to the last cage (covered with shade) we met the owl.

At last, we went to the photo booth to take a photo with the tamed parrots for remembrance (RM10). Sure we will visit the KL Bird Park @ Lake Gardens one day.

Explore Fun During School Holidays

Haha.. my boy hasn't attended a full time pre-school programme. So for him, it's a holiday on every day. In fact, he just has a very normal day everyday. Wake up, eat, play, watch TV, take nap, read and sleep... only me and my mom are his companions.

The mid-year school holidays start now. There are many holiday programs held at the major shopping malls. I think my 2y.o boy could take part in some of the programs. Let's go.

1) Pavilion Kuala Lumpur - Balloon Carnival
from 4th June to 15th June

- Free one ride on Hot Air Balloon (indoor) with purchase of RM 200 in single receipt
- Open for children aged 3 to 10 whose weight is below 30kg
Well, my 2.yo boy is not qualified to take a ride on the Hot Air Balloon. But I think he'll be excited to see the colourful balloons and meet the clowns who can make any kinds of art balloons.

2) IKANO Power Centre - Bird Park II
from 4th June to 20th June
-
Discover & Learn Bird Species, Photo booth, Feeding time, Colouring contest
- Spend RM 100 with any credit cards and bring home with a free goody bag of stationery & gifts
Definitely it's a good chance to educate the young kids about the variety of bird species. I've told my boy that we will bring him to meet the owls at the Bird Park... (hopefully they are there as seen in the ad)

Hope my boy could explore fun like the other school kids from these holiday programs. Happy School Holidays!!

A Child's Dream-filled Land - DisneyLand

What was your dream when you were a child? Back to 20 more years ago, I only dreamed to get more McDonald's ice-creams plus toys from the kid's meal box and greedily wished to get a barbie doll during birthday. Yes, these were so ordinary dreams before school. Until I watched more Disney cartoons, I wished I could meet Disney characters one day especially the Snow White and Seven Dwarfs. This recalled that I spent my 1st money prize (of UPSR result) to buy a Disney's Stories Big Book.

Finally my childhood's big dream had come true when I stepped into Tokyo's Disneyland on 15 April 2010.
It was not included in our tour itinerary but at last minute we decided to join others to go there. Despite I was no more a young kid, I felt so cheerful to walk in the parks and take photo with some Disney characters. The window displays were so attractive. It is so correct that this is where dreams come true and wonderful memories last for you and your kids. *I think 2-day passport is better. Great patience acquired to queue.

My tour guide was so right about the park facilities (the rides) which suit anyone from 3 to 83. Moreover, I was so impressed of the security level here (every where actually). The parents could join their kids indoor to enjoy the rides/shows by just parking the strollers and other stuff at outdoor. Leaving the belongings unguarded. Back here, we need to take turn with our partners to look after our things while one of us accompany the kid(s) to somewhere.

Perhaps you can ask your kids "what is your dream?", it may cost you just hundreds for a toy or thousands for a Disney trip. Well... I gotta tell my hubby to tighten his belt (ikat perut) for a luxury dream... go to Disneyland! Now,
Hong Kong Disneyland is the newest and closest in our region. *Most voted for Tokyo's to Hong Kong's.
